Chorolê, the Israeli choro ensemble, is a group of five musicians and friends who formed the band to preserve and promote the rich musical tradition of Brazilian choro music. “Choro” is a vibrant musical genre that originated in Brazil in the late 19th century. It is characterized by lively and intricate melodies, virtuosic instrumental performances, and improvisation.
The concert series is held in honor of Judi Shostack and her family, with the support of the Jerusalem Foundation.
