Roni (30) is alone in the maternity ward after a complicated first childbirth and wants nothing more than to get away from her baby. Janan (32), a young Palestinian intern nurse, is called in to help give Roni a shower — a task neither of them wants to carry out.

In the small, steamy space of the hospital bathroom, two women — one Israeli, one Palestinian — are brought together under the running water.
