Majdanek Waltz is Russia’s premier dark folk band, having existed for 25 years. Started out as a dark folk project, passed through the enfilades of chamber music, and by February 2022 embarked on a warpath for all that is good against all that is evil. Today MW is partially settled on the shores of the Mediterranean, and guess what? Celebrating 25 years of the band with a special anniversary tour and continuing their subversive activities! For this special anniversary tour, Majdanek Waltz will be joined by two support acts: Agnivolok — an Israeli project blending Russian-language vocals, folk traditions, dark ambient and experimental sound. Rooted in folklore and mythology, Agnivolok creates an atmospheric sonic world of its own. The Jerusalem Grind Orchestra — Acoustic exploration of material substrate of music — harmonics beyond functional organization and duration beyond rhythm.
