Shuva I Shoelaces

Shuva is a piece that invites the audience on an intimate, exposed journey into the depths of memory. Moving to the music of J.S. Bach, the performer confronts a resonant question: who were we once, and who are we today? The solo deconstructs the concept of “return” — not merely as a physical homecoming to a familiar place, but as a persistent attempt to re-encounter the version of ourselves we thought we knew. Navigating between past memories that surface as vivid visual images and the present moment, the body raises poignant questions about identity and change: Have we remained the same person? What from our past has been lost, and what remains steadfast and true within us?

Ido Gidron is an independent artist, dancer, choreographer, certified Gaga instructor, and rehabilitative Pilates therapist. A graduate of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, he performed with the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company and Batsheva Dance Company during his IDF service. Ido has collaborated with acclaimed choreographers like Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Arkadi Zaides, and Itzik Galili, and completed guest residencies at Kennesaw State University, ZHdK, and the Gothenburg Opera. Supported by Mifal HaPayis grants, his original works were featured in the “Curtain Up” Festival (2018, 2025). He currently creates and leads global workshops.

The End is the Beginning

Noa Manor is a Haifa-based choreographer, dancer, and independent artist. A graduate of the Kelim Center’s choreography program, she creates stage and video works inspired by illustration and collage. Her pieces have been presented across Israel and Europe, including the Between Heaven and Earth and ‘New Dance’ festivals. Her video work *Square Loop* screened at Dance Days Chania and featured in WOMENCINEMAKERS magazine. Recently, she created *Something, Something Else* (2025) and joined the ‘Head First’ residency (2026).
