Swing is the Thing! Swing is back — and in a big way — with the three members of the Hermlin family from Berlin, accompanied by a rhythm section in a particularly captivating concert. Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, and Tommy Dorsey — all on one stage with the HERMLINS.

Rachel, Andrej, and David Hermlin are among the most prominent names in Europe when it comes to recreating and renewing the classic sound of the Golden Age of Swing. They are highly regarded as Europe’s leading figures in preserving and reviving the classic swing tradition of the 1930s and '40s. This is not merely a repertoire — it is an artistic mission.

Andrej Hermlin, a pianist and bandleader, has dedicated his life to recreating the original sound of the great swing big bands of the Golden Age. With authentic arrangements and a meticulous playing style, he brings the elegance and energy of the era back to the stage. Alongside him are his children: Rachel Hermlin, a singer with an impressive stage presence and a clear, precise voice, who successfully combines stylistic authenticity with contemporary freshness; and David Hermlin, a drummer, singer, and charismatic performer who brings the rhythm, the smile, and the virtuosity of the great swing artists to the stage.
