The CO(A)ST of Survival is a phygital installation that begins as a physical sculptural environment and continues inside an immersive digital world. The work is rooted in a dream from Neve Schechter’s collective dream archive, in which Noah’s Ark opens and releases not the animals it once saved, but a single giant monster: a hybrid body made from all of them. From this image, the artists reflect on survival as a state of transformation: what happens after the Ark opens? Who, or what, emerges from it? Created by artists who experienced migration from Russia and Ukraine to Israel in the shadow of war, the installation asks what remains, what mutates, and who we become when we survive. The installation, consisting of a physical sculpture and a virtual sphere, invites the viewer to enter the space after the flood: a place where survival has already happened, but its consequences are still alive, unfolding inside the body, inside memory, and inside the landscapes we try to call home. Curators: Bar Yerushalmi & Dina Yakerson.
