## About

A handsome young criminal flees to the south of France, seeking refuge in a church, where he encounters two mysterious American women: a wealthy blonde and her brunette cousin, who serves as her maid. But the women harbor secrets of their own, and as each of the three pursues their hidden desires, a dangerous game of deception unfolds. Having left Hollywood for France, Jane Fonda found in this film the role that helped shape her image as a mischievous, seductive young woman determined to get her way. With its sparkling screenplay, magnetic performances, and elegant camerawork, Joy House is a dazzling classic, brimming with suspense, intrigue, and unexpected twists.
