Lucia is spending her vacation with her husband, their son, and a couple of friends at the seaside, in a small Bulgarian village near the Romanian border. Delighted by the villagers' hospitality and the long, sunny day, the group enjoys a peaceful holiday. Everyone does, except Lucia, who seems melancholy and unsettled. The arrival of Vladimir, a Romanian who seems to know the area quite well, brings a spark of excitement. He may also know Lucia.
Cecilia Stefanescu: “I wanted to speak about personal, social, and physical boundaries - about crossing them or their brutal violation, about irreconcilable positions.”
