IRL is an unfiltered chronicle of the six month rampage through Seoul by nuisance streamers Johnny Somali, currently imprisoned in South Korea for multiple crimes, and Ice Poseidon, the "Godfather" of IRL (In-Real-Life) streaming. IRL is a cautionary tale, as toxic online clout chasing collides with cultural values, the law, and basic decency. Rare, exclusive footage and on the ground access make IRL a timely portrait of live streaming's dark side.
About the director: Gabe has worked across film and digital media production, with a primary focus on post-production for short films, music videos, and digital ads. Based in Seoul, he leads Culturebrat Productions, where he has been a central figure in global reporting on the Johnny Somali saga since September 2024. While his primary experience has been in tech startups, he has consistently been involved in producing and editing short films, music videos and digital advertisements. At age 13, Gabe wrote and directed We Don’t Eat Cats, a satirical mockumentary about a mysterious cult that infiltrates the music industry, setting the tone for his later work blending narrative experimentation with cultural commentary.
