The Thief

Russia, the mid-1950s. A widow who travels on a train with her 6-year-old son, meets a charming soldier onboard. The three move in together, and the handsome officer is revealed as a thief. Although his acts contradict her own values, the young mother decides to stay with her lover, no matter what the consequences might be.
