Whatever It Takes

Rose meets life’s challenges with an infectious spirit and an unwavering determination to make the best of things. Jean, by contrast, is a quiet, lonely man who has long since retreated from the world. She lives with her three children in an abandoned family hotel; he calls his car home. Rose insists she isn’t poor, merely going through a temporary shortage of money. Jean, however, has no such illusions. When their paths cross, he is gradually drawn into the warmth and chaos of her unconventional family. But Rose is keeping a secret, and behind her generous spirit lies a plan of her own. With warmth, gentle humor, and a wonderful cast, Jean-Baptiste Léonetti crafts a tender, life-affirming comedy about finding hope in unlikely places, making the most of what life offers, and discovering that family can take the most unexpected forms.
