Amit Avni Launches “Four Rounds and Longing” in a Special Performance
Balancing long periods of reserve duty in combat with musical creation, singer-songwriter Amit Avni launches his album, “Four Rounds and Longing,” in a raw and powerful full-band performance.
The album emerged from the sharp, daily transition between the routine of home life and art, and the complex reality of military reserve duty. Through eight Israeli folk-rock tracks, Avni explores the gap between the military uniform and the acoustic guitar, the longing for home, and the attempt to preserve one’s voice and spirit amidst the upheaval.
At the launch show, Avni will perform songs from the album alongside other material,
featuring intimate, stripped-back arrangements that bring the stories behind the songs to the forefront.
