The play is based on the life story of Jacques Kano. In memory of Francois and Maria Knops, and Rev. Jan Brujan of Belgium, righteous among the nations.
Noa really doesn’t feel like doing her family heritage project. She has far more interesting things to do. Besides, all the kids have grandpas and grandmas with impressive heroic stories, and only her grandfather- isn’t a pioneer, warrior, or hero. Very slowly and gently, with the help of unique wooden figurines, shadows, live music and even humor, Grandpa Hugo reveals his story to Noa. A stirring, compassionate story about a time when evil raged in the world, and the hidden goodness of humankind.
Wood carved puppets, shadows, songs and a humane story about love, courage and only good people.
