Princess Lailah X Shoval

The rapper/singer Princess Lailah is coming to the Mazkeka together with guitarist/producer Shoval for a festive launch of the album “YerushalQuds” — a work that crosses the border from East to West and imagines life in Jerusalem through moments of darkness and light, war and peace, hope and despair.
“YerushalQuds” weaves sharp rap in five languages together with classical Persian singing and biblical texts. It creates unexpected connections between cultures and religions, genres and musical worlds, blending traditional instruments with experimental electronics.
The album features several international collaborations: from Morocco, Iran, and the United States. From Shiraz and Fez to Jerusalem, and from there across the sea, “YerushalQuds” is a love song to the light and shadows of Jerusalem, and to the countless souls connected to it.
