Corky, a tough ex-con working as a plumber, takes a job next door to Violet, the girlfriend of a mobster. Their immediate attraction develops into a dangerous alliance as they plot to steal two million dollars from the mob and frame Violet's boyfriend. The Wachowskis' debut is a seductive lesbian neo-noir built on desire, deception and shifting loyalties.
