Dream High is a cinematic rap opera and tribute to teen movies, where all dialogue is rhymed and delivered over beats, and music is an integral part of the story's world. Yoav, a teenager raised by a single mother struggling to make ends meet, moves to a new school where words hit harder than fists and those who can rhyme rule the playground. After the school's alpha humiliates him in a rap battle, Yoav is determined to prove himself and win the heart of Maya, the most popular girl in school. He discovers Hammurabi - a legendary rapper hiding behind the school cafeteria counter. Under his mentorship, Yoav transforms from a social outcast into a battle star, but the higher he climbs, the further he drifts from the friends who stood by him, from the girl who truly saw him, and from the honesty Hammurabi tried to teach him. At the national rap championship, in front of thousands, Yoav must choose - to chase glory or to stay true to himself.
