After years of uncertainty and exile, Siaka, originally from Gambia, and his wife Victoria return to Austria hoping to build a home and start a family. But bureaucracy, precarious work, and the weight of Siaka’s past repeatedly stand in their way. Following the couple for over a year, filmmaker Ivette Löcker captures the tenderness, frustration and humor of a relationship tested by forces beyond their control.
