Session returns to the intimacy of Varda Hall, featuring a live DJ set by musician Tai Rona, and invites you to an up-close encounter with the dancers, where the unexpected takes shape.
Originally created for a museum space,Session comprises movement elements from Ohad Naharin’s repertoire. These are extracted from their original contexts – stripped of the lighting, original composition, costumes, and the frontal viewing setup – and performed independently and spontaneously by Batsheva dancers, accompanied by a live DJ set.
Through an act of cross-wiring bodies that remember, the space transforms into a living, shifting, and pulsing arena. The physical medium emerges as a platform for endless singularity, which in turn generates a truly unique beauty.
