Trained at the Vertigo Dance Workshop, she holds a degree in Choreography from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, where she studied under Anat Shamgar and Iris Erez. She is a graduate of the "Kelim" Choreography Program led by Tami Leibovitz. Working today as an independent artist, her practice also incorporates training in Kung Fu under the guidance of Kerem Shemi.Choreography: Tifart KlimovskyPerformed by: Tifart Klimovsky, Raz NavehAsleep | Hila VeneziaA work that allows a gaze into the external and internal forces acting upon the body, raising questions about moving or being moved, the limits of our freedom, and the relationships formed between our bodies in movement. To remember the possibility of looking at a body, at the unbearable lightness of its existence. At the beauty in a wrist joint, the fold of an ankle, the shift of facial features. A body that is fulfilled, resting yet still awake, pulsing, attentive. A body that dances in a true, faithful rhythm, visiting one-time, singular places. How wondrous it is that one body trusts another body, trusts another gaze resting upon it. Confiding, agreeing to live alongside it, alongside the accompanying gaze that supports the movement. Whose gaze is this? The dancers'? The spectator's? Where does the dance reside?About the Creator:Hila Venezia is a choreographer and multidisciplinary artist, graduate of the School of Visual Theatre in Jerusalem (2024). Her work focuses on movement research and the intersections of body, material, and space, exploring the body as both a physical and poetic material.Presented at the Asif Festival at Kelim Center, the Veshivru Festival at Adama Center, the Bikurot Festival in Jerusalem, HaMikare Gallery in Tel Aviv, and more.Choreography: Hila VeneziaPerformed by: Hila Venezia, Noy Hever
