The wonderful, long-term project “The Ark,” in which I was fortunate to participate, is coming to an end. We began in February and completed many diverse activities, becoming part of a large laboratory. Our Russian-speaking group read ancient texts and archaeological research, digging into our memories and experiences related to migration, emigration, and relocation. We experienced a flood of information. The exhibition was supposed to be held in May, but our world, which has fallen into a chaotic state, adjusted everything so that three events were held with intervals stretching all the way until September. I appreciate how flexible the curators @dinayakerson @baryerushalmi were with the process and how they reformatted the shows in the face of change. Starting September 2, my video work “Safeness” will be on display on the second floor of the Neve Shechter Gallery @neveschechter.
